Beliefs - Convictions. Be careful what you think- Thoughts and attitudes become beliefs- you are what you believe. Whatever you think you are, you're more than that. TEMET NOSCE
#1 Belief is to believe in yourself! if you do not believe in yourself it is harder for others to believe in you. Have faith in yourself. If you do'nt believe you can just do it and believe some day I will be able to do it better if I work at it. Thst's why practice is so important. The Wilson band does it, Drama, myself, all atheletes, all practice to improve. When you learned to walk, ride a bike, drive a car, read. All of these were difficult to do at first. You can do it take action and overcome those obstacles. Find mentors or people that can give you advice. Build self confidence and self esteem.
Success doesn't come to those who wait for it. To reach your goals in business — and in your personal life — you must be proactive. Behind each of the 10 Keys to Success lies a simple action you can take immediately: (Baby steps)
What do you stand for? What do you want to be known for? If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.
CONFIDENCE - SI SE PUEDE
1. Believe in Yourself **** Self-Confidence
Recognize your self-worth. All too often, we speak of ourselves negatively. But if you're not convinced your own value, no one else will be either. It's time to stop putting yourself down — and start cheering yourself on.
What negative beliefs about yourself do you hold onto? Perhaps you tell yourself — and others — you're a bad cook. In the space below, list three of your negative beliefs. Then, for each belief, list something concrete you can do to change this perception of yourself. For example, you could take a cooking class to boost your confidence in the kitchen.

Now list five accomplishments you're proud of. Repeat these exercises whenever you need a boost in confidence. Focus on recalling your strengths and improving your weaknesses — rather than simply criticizing yourself. (If you do not believe in yourself who will?)

2. Market Yourself
Have a vision, a mission, and a plan of where you want to go — and how you intend to get there. To be successful, you must set goals. Here's how:
- Think of a big change you want to make in your life. Do you want to find a new job? Get a promotion? Buy a new home? Close your eyes and envision yourself having reached this goal. How do you feel? How do your new surroundings look? Write your answer below:
- Now write down 3-5 steps you will take to reach this goal. This will help you monitor your progress.

3. Credit Yourself
Take ownership of your accomplishments. Doing good work is not enough — it's important to give yourself a pat on the back too. Otherwise, how will anyone else know how much you've accomplished?
Here are two ways you can get into the habit of crediting yourself:
- Speak up so others take notice. The next time you're in a professional meeting, offer your ideas for the project or topic being discussed. Don't be afraid to show off your area of expertise.
- Keep a "feel good" file. Save the thank-you notes and letters of praise people send you. Any time you need a reminder of your accomplishments, thumb through this file. If you don't have anything to put in the file just yet, write yourself a letter of praise.
4. Think of Yourself as a Product
We live in a competitive world. Whether you're interviewing for a job or applying for a small business loan, you've got to give people a reason to select you over someone else. Here are two suggestions:
- Others base their first impressions of you on how you "package" yourself — how you look and carry yourself. In the space provided below, list 1-2 ways you could improve your "packaging." For instance, you could buy a new suit or take a class on developments in your field.
- Go to the grocery store tonight and look at several products that promise to deliver the same thing. Pay attention to what draws you to one product over another. What aspect of the packaging grabs you? How can you translate this appeal into your own personal "packaging"?
5. Sell Yourself
No matter what your profession, selling yourself is critical to your success. We're always trying to convince others of our ideas and talents. The best salespeople are those who:
- Actively listen to their customers
- Care about and enjoy helping others
- Exude enthusiasm and friendliness
- Remain open to new ideas
With these qualities in mind, think about how you can better position yourself or communicate your ideas to others — either professionally or personally. For example, instead of telling your boss which department policies need improvement, find out which policies they're trying to revise and then offer a relevant solution.
In the space below, list 2-3 ways you can better "sell" — or position — yourself today:

Letting Go of Negative Thoughts
My wife had had enough. “Okay Mr. Energy,” she said, “It’s time to get outside and weed the lawn.” My procrastination had finally come to an end. I couldn’t hide any longer.
Sure, I would rather get a root canal than weed my yard but I knew it had to be done. So I grabbed a yard bag and faced my nemesis. Weeds were overflowing everywhere. I couldn’t even see the flowers and bushes. How did it get like this I wondered? I was overwhelmed. My lack of attention was staring at me in the form of tall, ugly, evil weeds. I didn’t know where to begin so I just began somewhere and started pulling weeds. Three days later I was done and the yard looked great. And I have to admit I felt great.
I realized that sometimes what we need to do the most, we resist the most. The same is true for our minds. Consider that our minds are like a garden and everyday we are bombarded with the weeds of negativity, including our own negative thoughts, and if left unattended they will take root, breed and grow. The longer we wait the more overwhelming the weeds become. We can no longer ignore our minds the way I ignored my garden. We must weed on a daily basis and let go of our negative thoughts. Ignoring them will not make them magically disappear, as I had hoped with my yard. We must face them, expose them, take action and uproot them.
In addition we must plant the seeds of positive thoughts and add flowers of joy.
By weeding our negative thoughts and cultivating positive thoughts we create a space for happiness to flourish and joy to grow. We remove the darkness that crowds the garden and allows the light to shine in. We create an environment that nurtures a healthy and vibrant life that shares it’s splendor with the world.
Just as a beautiful garden is evidence of attention, care, time, energy and love, so is your life and success a manifestation of the attention you give to the garden of your mind.
Let go of the negative thoughts. Daily.
Cultivate positive thoughts. Daily.
Make room for positive thoughts and your garden will flourish.
Sending Positive Energy Your Way!

Superstition
Based on a belief in witchcraft, spirits, and demons, a superstition is the irrational idea that an object, action, or circumstance not logically related to a course of events influences its outcome. A common superstition in the Middle Ages was that the devil could enter a person's body during the unguarded moment when he was sneezing. People began saying God bless you to protect that person from evil forces. Whose authority established this superstition as religious doctrine? Resource
Our beliefs guide our thoughts, our actions, our goals, even our relationships with other people.
If you want a shortcut to success, change your beliefs!

Attitude Is Infectious and Drives Behavior
Your attitude is the first thing people pick up on in face-to-face communication.6 Just as laughing, yawning, and crying are infectious, attitude is infectious. Before you say a word, your attitudes can infect the people who see you with the same behavior. Somehow just by looking or feeling, you can be infected by another person's attitude, and vice versa. When you are operating from inside a really useful attitude, such as enthusiasm, curiosity, and humility, your body language tends to take care of itself and sends out unmistakable signals of openness

The Oracle: So, what do you think? Do you think you're The One?
Neo: I don't know. (TEMET NOSCE plaque on the wall )
The Oracle: You know what that means? It's Latin. Means `Know thyself'. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Being The One is just like being in love. No one can tell you you're in love, you just know it. Through and through. Balls to bones.
"Know thyself". That's really what The Oracle is all about. She opens the door but Neo has to choose to believe it for himself. He has to look inside, he has to know there's no spoon, and he has to know he's The One. And it's only through making the choice, once he finds the reason to do so, that he becomes The One. But he isn't ready yet...the next part of their conversation makes that abundantly clear. But she's planted the seed.
The Oracle: Well, I better have a look at you. Open your mouth, say Ahhh.
Neo: Ahhh.
The Oracle: Okay. Now I'm supposed to say, `Umm, that's interesting, but...,' then you say...
Neo: But what?
The Oracle: But you already know what I'm going to tell you.
Neo: I'm not The One.
So who says Neo's not The One? The Oracle? Nope, Neo. Neo's looked inside and he doesn't believe. He's intrigued, he's listened to a very convincing man who believes, but Neo does not believe. And the Oracle's going to let him go with that belief, because as she said earlier, "No one can tell you you're The One, you just know it." And the physical examinination of Neo is just window-dressing. The Oracle doesn't learn anything from that that she didn't already know the minute Neo walked into her kitchen.
