Goals 1. Identify the Problem or Goal! What is the Problem or Goal?
Start with Dreaming. Dare to dream big. What would be your biggest, audacious dream? (Find a Dream exercise... or Just Dream and write daily. Your future is full of possibilities ). Brainstorm, Dream, Dream BIG almost Anything is possible.
Goals and Achievements are very important but life is a journey it has it\'s ups and downs. It\'s important not to lose sight of the moment today as we look forward to tomorrow. Because in the end all we have is today. Yesterday is done and gone. Tomorrow will bring us many surprises no matter how well we plan. Half of the fun (or more) is getting there.
Please remember, you have the opportunity to make your dreams real... to actually LIVE the life you desire.
The key is to turn your dreams into GOALS... your goals into PLANS... and your PLANS into specific ACTIONS.

Temporarily drop your goals from time to time. Re focus- What is important? SELFISH vs. (THINKING OF OTHERS? ALTRUISTIC?)
You will never be dissapointed if you have no expectations but you should not complain about what you get.

\"If dreams are born from imagination, then goals are born from a promise. Knowing this, set your goals with great care because when you set them, you are promising yourself exactly what you expect to get out of your life.\"~ Kent Madson
Warning Greed, Exploitation, Avarice- Life\'s a journey.
Be careful for what you wish for.
PLAN
Turn Your Goals Into Plans.
Clear GOALS lead to brilliant PLANS...
You have now transformed your most charished dreams and visions into crystal-clear GOALS. What more is there? You need to create a simple, yet rock-solid PLAN to achieve it.

Are you just wishing on rainbows, hoping to find your
pot of gold at the end? Or do you have a plan for filling in
the missing colors in your paint-by-numbers dream?
Stop WISHING, Start PLANNING...
A goal without a plan is merely a wish without a hope. If you stop with just setting a goal— regardless of how SMART it is—you will never achieve it.
Why? Because you can\'t take ACTION on a WISH. You can\'t apply power to a WHIM. You can, however, WORK your PLAN. You can take action on the next step of your plan, a step that will move you ever closer to achieving your dreams.
Your goals deserve more than a WISH... they deserve the PROMISE of a short, but well-conceived PLAN.
Because the old cliche is absolutely true: Fail to plan... plan to fail.
A Truth For Which There Are NO Exceptions...
The shortest route from conception to realization of your goals occurs when you MAKE detailed PLANS. Every goal is accomplished in the shortest time possible when you eliminate wasted steps by planning ahead.
Persuasion- Get a team together persuade them if they are not on your side.
\"Making detailed plans is where dreams are snared and fantasies are caught. When you take the time to think ahead, any project -- regardless of how complex or difficult -- becomes nothing more than a series of future steps leading to a desired objective. These objectives, when completed, will then take you anywhere you want to go.\"~ E. R. Haas
What is a goal?
Are all goals good?
Think of a football team running up and down the field, with no goal posts at either end...
Not much point to that, is there?
A goal is something that is aimed at. You are at point A, and you want to get to point B, which is your goal.
A goal is not a wish, and it is not a dream. It is something that is progressively worked towards.
A simple example would be:
\"I want to go to dinner at Luigi\'s Italian restaurant.\"
You make the reservation.
You get in the car, and travel to the restaurant.
You enter Luigi\'s, and you are shown your table.
Bon appetit!
If you wanted to eat at Luigi\'s, but sat on your butt, thinking about it, you\'d probably end up eating a TV dinner.
A goal is something that is progressively worked towards.
Common Goals= TEAMWORK
What is a goal setting?
Goal setting in broad terms is the process of deciding on something you want, planning how to get it, and then working towards the objective.
Goal setting is not wishing or dreaming. It is something that is progressively worked towards. Goal setting is a process, it is not something that decided on a whim.
An example is when you want to go on a summer holiday:
You decide where you want to go to.
You make the reservations.
You get the car ready.
And then the day arrives.
Car packed, you depart on your journey, and keep going, until...
You arrive at your destination - and enjoy!

Setting a goal may arouse the fear of failure. But not to set goals -- not even to try -- represents the ultimate failure.
You\'ll never know until you try. Before the day is over, set a specific goal for something you\'ve always wanted. Then put a date on it!

The benefit of a well-defined goal is to clearly and easily move from your present state to a desired state. To do that, there are 6 main steps to follow.
1) What do you want (instead)? Describe your outcome or desired state in positive terms. A well-defined goal meets these 4 criteria:
• Stated in positive – what you do want, rather than what you don’t want
• Specific and measurable – where, when and with whom
• Moves you forward
• Within your control - what parts are within your power, not someone else’s
2) How will you know you’ve achieved it? Think through your goal using all five senses. Put yourself in the picture of having already accomplished it:
• What is the evidence you’ve reached your goal?
• What, specifically, is happening?
• What images, pictures, feelings, sounds, smells and tastes do you associate with your goal?

wierd science \"why don\'t people understand my intentions\"
Beastie boys "whatcha want?"
I was at the lowest point of my life which was in Southeast Los Angeles where I was involved in gangs and lived in poverty.
I read the information about dreaming and setting goals, and I got started because it sounded soo simple for such a big return for the work (or should I say for Dreaming).
Well, it didn't take but a couple of months before I decided to move away and go back to school, so off to Utah I went and there I received my GED.
Of course by now my dreams had grown tremendously and my confidence was through the roof.
I then moved to Phoenix to continue my education and pursue my dreams of starting a business since the economy was so much stronger there.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Business and I am currently a Sales Manager for Power Chevrolet where I am very close to a six figure income.
With everything I have learned from pursuing my dreams. My goals are a lot stronger now and I am well on my way to completing even bigger dreams, including starting my own music label and finishing and producing my own music CD. Just give me 5 more years:)
So, thank you, for helping me realize my full potential.
If you don't have goals for your future then you're probably working for somebody who does.
